From the mountains of Thrace and Macedonia to the Tuvunu cans in every backpack, the authentic purity of Sideritis is everywhere

With the innovation of Tuvunu tea, the Macedonian Thrace Brewery offers solutions not only to residents, farmers, producers, and young people by creating future potential for the local area but also to concerned mothers who wonder if their children have a well—balanced diet and ask themselves daily, “What should I give my child for school tomorrow? What will they drink? What will they eat?”

Tuvunu tea is one of the few beverages whose consumption is safe and recommended for children. In fact, it is one of the few products allowed to be sold in school canteens and cafeterias. That’s because Tuvunu tea encapsulates the authentic traditional recipe with no added sugar or other sweeteners, no preservatives, no fats, no artificial colors or flavors, no gluten, and no caffeine. It is pure Sideritis with all its nutritional and beneficial qualities. Thus, the two Tuvunu options—the first with organic lemon and the second with flower honey and lemon—deservedly claim a place in every student’s lunchbox.

More specifically, according to ministerial decrees 707/2016 (FEK B’ 2091) and Y1c/2013 (FEK B’ 2135), in school canteens and catering areas (restaurants) within school premises, only the following beverages are allowed to be sold: bottled water, packaged natural fruit juices and similar products with no preservatives and no added sugar, in individual packaging of up to 250ml, and beverages consisting solely of chamomile, sage, and mountain tea, with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. The sale of soft drinks is not permitted under any circumstances. However, the distribution of “organic products,” as defined in Regulations 834/2007 and 889/2008 of the European Parliament and Council, is allowed.

It is very clear, therefore, that Tuvunu biological tea with organic lemon juice and Tuvunu tea with freshly squeezed organic lemon juice and Greek flower honey meet all the requirements to be available to children, both from school canteens and parents.

Considering the contribution of Sideritis in promoting calmness and reducing stress, we understand the importance of mountain tea during school hours when students are confronted with stressful situations, such as tests or difficult exercises.

Tuvunu mountain tea is a small, easy, and simple practice that we can incorporate into our children’s daily routine to protect their bodies due to Sideritis’ various benefits. It contains vitamins, as well as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. It helps with indigestion, gastrointestinal disorders, circulation, and the respiratory system. It also improves cardiovascular health and acts as an anticoagulant, protecting against cardiovascular disease. Due to its high iron content, it helps prevent anemia. It protects cells against free radicals and helps fight cognitive decline, meaning long-term consumption can reduce the effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s. It positively affects bone density, helping prevent osteoporosis. Finally, it has diuretic and detoxifying properties, and of course, it stimulates the immune system, acting as a relief from colds with its antipyretic and diaphoretic properties.

Tuvunu tea, thanks to its key ingredient, Sideritis, supports the pursuit of good health, wellness, and vitality. Tuvunu tea takes good care of children, nature, and the local community. It takes care of everything we hold dear, just like our mom does.

After all, both Tuvunu tea and our mother’s care are Greek by design.
